
Safety and Quality Compliance Professional

An HSEQ Manager is a key member of our organization responsible for leading our Safety and Quality Compliance program. This role oversees Health, Safety, and Environment policies and practices, as well as our Quality Management System for business processes and Radiation Safety compliance program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective HSEQ strategies to reduce workplace injury and illness, improve employee wellbeing, customer satisfaction, and Right First Time;
- Provide expert advice on risk management and develop training programs to enhance knowledge in HSEQ;
- Lead the ionising radiation safety program and radiation protection methodology;
- Coordinate emergency preparedness processes and ensure personnel are trained and resources are in place to support our response capability;
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality leadership to establish controls for detection, correction, and prevention of nonconforming materials, parts, and products;
- Work closely with quality, R&D, and engineering teams to implement plans for project and product quality;
- Ensure business processes conform to division and departmental policies, national and international codes, and applicable safety requirements;
- Conduct internal and remote audits and inspections, assessing the appropriateness of remedial actions;
- Drive continual improvement in processes and products through trend analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and ongoing risk assessment and monitoring;
- Report on the HSEQ management systems performance and projects to improve and streamline processes.
- Relevant qualification in EHS, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or relevant field;
- Minimum five years working within a manufacturing environment, ideally within a Quality or EHS role;
- Demonstrated experience working with auditable management systems and understanding of ionising radiation hazards is preferred;
- Proven interpersonal skills and communication skills across all levels of an organization;
- Consistent record in balancing multiple priorities and meeting objectives in a results-orientated and fast-paced environment;
- Adaptable to working independently and in multidisciplinary teams, and proficient in leading projects;
- Personal dedication to high standard of work with attention to detail and consistent initiative and determination;
- Understanding of Australian Work Health and Safety legislation;
- Proficient in ensuring Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials compliance;
- Sound understanding of risk management principles and methodology.
