About the Job:

  • We are seeking an accomplished Operational Excellence Manager to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across our community-led literacy programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily operations of support functions, ensuring seamless alignment with our strategic objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to operational staff, fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Cultivate strong relationships with local Aboriginal communities to design and deliver support functions that meet their unique needs
  • Oversee financial management, including budgeting and reporting, to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Evaluate and implement compliance measures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Maintain IT systems, data security, and privacy protocols to safeguard sensitive information
  • Coordinate domestic travel to facilitate on-the-ground program delivery and operational oversight

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in operational excellence, ideally in the education or community sectors
  • Proven track record of working with diverse communities, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on empowerment and growth
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • A hands-on approach, with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Experience in adult education, literacy, or community development programs, with a passion for making a meaningful impact
