About the Role

ING Bank (Australia) Limited is seeking a skilled Residential Credit Assessor to join our Customer Operations Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in assessing credit and loan applications for residential mortgages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess PAYG applications and progress to self-employed in residential loan products.
  • Review credit and risk assessments for loan/credit applications or variations within an allocated Delegated Lending Authority.
  • Specialise in credit/risk analysis, customer segmentation, conveyancing, and banking processes.
  • Uphold ING policies and procedures to avoid unacceptable operational risk.
  • Apply superb detail and attention to all transactions to consistently meet KPI's and quality indicators.
  • Operate within the ING service delivery guidelines to ensure timely completion of credit applications.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) role with a minimum of $1m in residential loan approvals or $60k in consumer/retail finance.
  • Excellent coordination, collaboration, and communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian lending practices, including policy, valuations, mortgage insurance, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical analysis aptitude.
  • Recent experience in residential mortgages assessment.
