Heavy Road Transport Mechanic Job

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Road Transport Mechanic to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to work on a variety of heavy road transport equipment, including trucks, generators, lighting plants, EWP's, forklifts, and other critical machinery.

  • Provide high-level diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and service to a fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
  • Contribute to a safety-focused culture by being proactive and demonstrating commitment to high standards of execution within your trade.
  • Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently within the limits of your competence, training, and experience.
  • Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports, and drawings as required.
  • Use computerized maintenance systems to raise notifications, close work orders, and perform time confirmations.

This role involves working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to reschedule work, organize resources, scope of work, and determine priorities when needed.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A recognized Australian Heavy Road Transport Mechanical Qualification.
  • High Risk License qualifications, including Working at Heights, HR, CV, Dogging, Rigging, Forklift, and Air Con Ticket (desirable).
  • Extensive experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a broad range of machinery and equipment directly relevant to this role.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with colleagues and stakeholders.
