About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Safety Specialist to join our team at Coles Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and coaching to stakeholders and team members across the OCADO site in relation to transport safety.

Your key objectives will include ensuring key objectives are met, including van fleet and safe deliveries to our customers. You will also be responsible for:

  • Providing technical advice and coaching to stakeholders and team members
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Developing and implementing safety plans and strategies
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive safety initiatives

About You

We are looking for an experienced Transport Safety professional with a strong background in health and safety, particularly in critical risk reduction, yard management, and on-road traffic management. You will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in an operational FMCG distribution centre, manufacturing, or automated environment.

You will also have:

  • A Safety Degree or Cert IV/related discipline and/or Risk Compliance degree or Cert IV
  • Experience managing transport regulatory compliance
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building capabilities
  • Exceptional coaching, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to hold self and others accountable to raise transport safety standards
