Pathology Collector Role

We are seeking an experienced pathology collector to join our team in providing quality patient care and building strong connections with local communities.

  • Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
  • Maintaining meticulous records for every patient and sample
  • Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
  • Liaising with various stakeholders, including customers, clinic staff, and couriers
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of specimens for testing. This role requires excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

As a pathology collector, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive team and pursue clear career progression paths. You will also have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in phlebotomy and pathology collection.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy or certificate III in pathology collection. You should also possess excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as strong time management and attention to detail.

In addition, you should be able to work independently and make decisions without supervision. You must also have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to multiple clinics. Working with children's check or willingness to obtain one is also a requirement.

Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa with permission to work is also necessary. Furthermore, vaccination requirements include evidence of vaccine preventable diseases such as Hepatitis B.
