About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Drill and Blast Engineer to join our Vickery Mine team. As part of early mining activities, you will support operations by owning all technical aspects of drill and blast activities on site. You will report to the Technical Services Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical guidance for all drill and blast activities on site
• Develop and maintain plans, designs, and blast packs for all blasts
• Provide direction to Technical Services and Operations regarding shot locations, timing, and blasting requirements
• Ensure drill patterns are available for drilling in a timely manner to minimize operational delays
• Maintain a 2-week drill and blast schedule and communicate sequence and requirements to Operations and Technical Services
What You'll Bring:
• Minimum two years of mining experience in a Drill and Blast engineering role
• Experience with Blastlogic and Vulcan (or similar mine planning software)
• High-level written and oral communication skills
• High-level computer literacy
• Strong data analysis skills
