We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Aqua Service Specialist to join our team at the Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre.

As an Aqua Service Specialist, you will provide a service to our community by undertaking lifeguard duties including surveillance of water activities, rescue, and application of first aid treatment.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Undertaking lifeguard duties including surveillance of water activities, rescue, and application of first aid treatment.
  • Supervising patrons using the aquatic facilities to maximise customer safety and enjoyment.
  • Facility presentation including set up and pack away of equipment and cleaning of all areas of the Aquatic Centre and Bolton Park Stadium.
  • Adhering to Council's policies and procedures.
  • Delivering effective customer service to all patrons and assisting in the coordination of programs/bookings.
  • Assisting in the maintenance of pool operations and in the maintenance and preparation of the facilities.
  • Ensuring consistent high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and security is maintained within the centre.
  • Participating in regular in-house training sessions and staff meetings.
  • Maintaining currency of qualifications relevant to the position.
  • Completing other reasonable duties or tasks as required with consultation from the Aquatics Supervisor.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  1. A Current First Aid Certificate or proof of enrolment in course.
  2. A Current Pool Lifeguard Licence or proof of enrolment in course.
  3. An NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
  4. An Aquatic Management Certificate (Desirable).
  5. A Current Pool Operations Certificate (Desirable).
  6. Be highly motivated, driven to achieve and want to provide service for the community.
  7. Be committed to the WH&S requirements of the role.

This position is subject to NSW Child Protection Legislation. As part of the application and interview process, candidates must provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC) number for verification purposes.

In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, successful candidates are required to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B and will be asked to provide evidence of this.

Estimated salary for this role is approximately $35.54 per hour plus superannuation, based on industry standards and location.
