This vital role supports the United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) in its endeavor to ensure that only the most qualified and medically fit applicants join the U.S. Armed Forces to defend our nation.
As a Medical Reviewer, you will play a critical part in conducting thorough medical reviews, including applicant histories, medical evaluations, and analysis of test results, to uphold the medical standards established by Congress and the Military Services.
Duties- Support the enlistment process by guiding applicants through aptitude testing, medical evaluations, security screenings, administrative processing, and ultimately, their transition into service.
- Conduct critical medical reviews, analyzing applicant histories, medical evaluations, and test results to uphold the medical standards established by Congress and the Military Services.
- Ensure the readiness and strength of America's fighting force by making informed decisions based on your medical expertise.
- Experience: Two years of experience in clinical primary care, urgent care or emergency medicine within the last three years.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Any active Physician Assistant State license is necessary.
- Education: A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is mandatory.
- Certification: Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA).
- Predictable and structured workdays with shifts ranging between 5 and 10 consecutive hours within the MEPS operating schedule.
- Enjoy all 11 Federal Holidays off, while contributing to a mission that directly supports our Armed Forces.
- The position is based in Cleveland, OH, where you will have the opportunity to lend your expertise at other MEPS locations regionally or nationwide as available.
