About this role

As a leader within a food team, you will be responsible for guiding and developing your colleagues to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Main responsibilities
  • Develop a coaching culture within your team, ensuring that all members receive the necessary support, training, and mentoring to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and safety in food production, adhering to specifications and HACCP guidelines. Ensure that your team stays up-to-date with compliance training and implements daily operational routines effectively.
  • Optimize the Commercial and Operational areas of the food department, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and attractiveness to create a positive customer experience.
  • Drive sales by actively promoting IKEA Food products and finding creative ways to merchandise them.
  • Promote change management within the department and the wider store, using your influence to drive progress.
About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in the retail industry, with a proven track record of coaching teams and managing performance.
  • Previous retail management experience at a big box retailer or multi-site experience.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, communication skills, and the ability to influence and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • A passion for understanding the customer journey and how you and your team can contribute to creating a positive shopping experience.
  • The drive to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you are relentless about delivering the best outcomes for coworkers, customers, and business.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve set KPIs.
  • The ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to existing business practices, focusing on continuous improvement.
