Senior Manager, Technology Analysis

This role bridges business priorities with technical delivery, ensuring high-quality requirements and documentation standards across both product and project initiatives.


The Senior Manager leads and develops a team of Business Analysts and Systems Analysts, partnering with business leaders, IT, and vendor partners to align strategy, define scope, requirements, and deliver solutions that support customer-facing digital platforms and supporting business systems.


About This Role
  • Leadership/Management:
    • Recruit, orient, mentor, and train Business Analysts to build a strong, versatile team
    • Establish, evolve, and enforce standards for documentation, testing, and analysis deliverables
    • Ensure strategic goals and business vision translate into actionable business requirements and technical solutions
    • Build, grow, and maintain trusted relationships with business leaders, IT partners, and vendors
    • Foster deep Subject Matter Expertise within the team on customer-facing websites, supporting systems, data, and processes
    • Leverage AI for knowledge management, requirement validation, and predictive risk analysis
    • Partner with architects to explore how AI, automation, and data analytics can improve delivery
    • Coordinate staffing and resource allocation across project teams, balancing priorities and capacity
    • Lead and develop high-performing teams across both product and project initiatives
    • Build and maintain a centralized repository of knowledge resources to ensure continuity and consistency
    • Provide ongoing guidance by reviewing user flows, technical approaches, and ensuring quality outcomes
    • Lead RFP processes by documenting requirements, coordinating vendor demos, and facilitating evaluation activities
  • Implementation:
    • Serve as lead Business Analyst on high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with business needs and delivery excellence
    • Act as Systems Analyst on designated product teams, bridging business and technical perspectives
    • Oversee end-to-end testing and lead/assist UAT efforts on projects and product teams
    • Incorporate Product Thinking among analysts, moving from writing requirements to shaping digital experiences and business outcomes
    • Provide oversight and mentorship to BAs during implementation phases
    • Leverage AI-powered knowledge management for efficient documentation and continuity
    • Guide adoption of AI solutions to unlock new efficiencies and innovation in digital delivery
    • Act as the escalation point for requirements issues, scope changes, and testing challenges in digital projects
    • Ensure the timely creation of scope documents, epics, user stories, test plans, and user guides that meet established documentation standards
    • Align requirements, priorities, and dependencies with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
    • Identify and proactively escalate risks or blockers impacting project progress
  • Strategy & Planning:
    • Partner with IT leadership to ensure business priorities and vision are consistently aligned with delivery efforts
    • Research and recommend strategies that maximize the value of tools and technologies while minimizing inefficiencies
    • Support product leadership in building and refining feature roadmaps, balancing business priorities, technical feasibility, and effort
Requirements
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proven experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and project management
    • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, methodologies, and tools
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
    • Familiarity with AI, automation, and data analytics concepts
    • Knowledge of database management systems, data modeling, and data warehousing
    • Experience with requirements gathering, definition, and management
    • Understanding of security best practices, compliance regulations, and risk management principles
    • Ability to analyze complex problems, identify key issues, and develop effective solutions
    • Capacity to manage competing priorities, multiple stakeholders, and tight deadlines
  • Education & Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    • Relevant certifications, such as PMP, CBAP, or Agile
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
    • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, environments, and technologies
    • Capacity to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
    • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
    • Experience with collaboration tools, such as Trello, Asana, or Jira
    • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
    • Ability to work in a remote or hybrid environment
