The Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services is responsible for protecting children where no one else can. Our work is complex and our industry is ever-changing. As a Child Safety Officer (CSO), you will be part of a team that makes a tangible difference to the safety of children in Queensland.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to provide integrated child protection practices
- Maintaining accurate case records in line with departmental policies and the child protection practice framework
- Using evidence-based practices and participating in continuous learning and training
The role requires a compassionate, positive, and resilient individual who can work independently but also ask for help when needed. You will have opportunities for career growth and progression, including leadership or joining central teams.
