About the Role

Kennards Hire is a leading equipment hire company seeking a skilled Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics function, you will be responsible for the safe loading, securing, delivering, and picking up equipment to and from our customers, construction sites, and branches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service at all times, ensuring a positive experience for our clients.
  • Instruct and demonstrate to customers on the safe operation of equipment, including the use of QR codes for easy access to instructions.
  • Make recommendations to customers on complementary equipment or products that will support their needs, driving sales and revenue growth.
  • Proactively engage with scheduling to complete duties effectively and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of equipment.
  • Correctly schedule day-to-day deliveries and pickups, ensuring seamless logistics operations.
  • Perform scanning, pickup, and delivery of equipment, maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient processing.
  • Perform equipment loading/unloading and load restraint, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Be familiar and flexible across multiple classes of vehicles, as the range and type of equipment determines the vehicle requirement.
  • Understand and apply load restraint, mass, and dimension principles to ensure safe transportation.

About You

  • You hold a current C-Class License and are knowledgeable about Chain of Responsibility regulations.
  • You possess strong communication skills, including the ability to follow directions, ask questions, and provide information to team members.
  • You are proficient in using computers and mobile devices for basic transactional processing and email communication.
  • You have previous experience in a customer service role and a genuine interest in helping others.
  • You possess time management skills, including the ability to plan ahead and reschedule in accordance with changes in priorities.
