About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Transport Sales Specialist to join our team at GKR Transport's Perth Depot in Welshpool. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Planning: Respond to customer inquiries, issue quotes, and negotiate sales agreements.
  • Quote Review and Management: Review and assess quotes and enquiries for potential ongoing sales and direct leads to the Business Development Manager.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the main point of contact for customer returns and assist the Operations team with expediting orders.
  • Freight Management: Assist customers with processing their freight movement, including consignment payments and issuing tax invoices.
  • Adherence to Company Values: Maintain the highest level of professionalism and adhere to GKR Transport's core values.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including contacts, customers, enquiries, opportunities, activities, and tasks.
About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Transport Sales Specialist who possesses:

  • Industry Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales or customer service role within the transport or logistics industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Office 365 and other relevant software applications.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Safety and Compliance: Strong focus on safety and compliance within the transport industry.
  • Opportunity Spotting: Ability to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.
  • Adaptability: Adaptable, creative, and innovative approach to sales and customer service.
  • Accountability: Motivated self-starter who takes ownership of their work and provides exceptional customer service.
  • Teamwork: Effective communication with team members and key stakeholders.
