Job Title: Accountant Professional

In a fast-paced environment, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering financial results to management and supporting administrative and accounting tasks across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

\
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly management financial reports for senior management.\
  • General Ledger Reconciliations: Perform general ledger reconciliations and prepare appropriate journals.\
  • BAS Returns: Involvement in statutory compliance including GST/BAS.\
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Learn and assist with invoicing and receipting, follow up on overdue debtors, set up new debtors, and manage applications for debtor insurance coverage.\
  • Capital & Lease Applications: Manage capital expenditure requests and lease applications.\
  • Audit Queries: Support with the annual Group audit.\
  • ABS Surveys: Preparation and lodgement of ABS surveys.\
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide support on various finance-related projects as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completed or near-completed degree in Accounting or a related field.\
  • Ability to work full-time in a dynamic office environment.\
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.\
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.\
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.\
  • Previous experience in accounting or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
