Research Scientist Opportunity

This role is connected to a project focused on standardising in-field composite repair manufacture for steel structures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research into phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) and magnetic array ultrasonic testing (MAUT) capabilities, particularly their capacity to identify and characterise damage in composite repairs. Collaborate with the project team to achieve this goal.
  • Supervise students, provide constructive performance feedback, training, and conflict resolution services, while ensuring the ethical conduct of all research activities.
  • Develop strategic partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, participate in internal service roles and committees, undertake administrative tasks, and uphold organisational values.
