Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in Canberra South. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our customers.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers to stay engaged and connected with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to support our customers' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a sense of calm and reassurance.
  • Transport customers to appointments and social events, promoting their independence and mobility.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia and other conditions, requiring specialized support and care.

Requirements
  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems and knowing when to ask for help.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required.
