About This Role

We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, working on traffic and transport solutions for the community.

  • Analyzing traffic data using Excel and SIDRA modeling software is crucial for this role.
  • Preparing traffic impact assessments for various projects will be essential in ensuring safe transportation for the public.
  • Conducting site inspections and gathering data on road environment and traffic observations will help identify areas of improvement.
  • Assessing and providing design advice for intersection layouts will ensure efficient traffic flow.
  • Obtaining and assessing crash data will aid in identifying risks and implementing safety measures.
  • Road safety assessments will also be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of current infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in traffic engineering with knowledge of analytical software packages like SIDRA is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to present complex issues effectively.
  • Experience working in consulting or government environments is an advantage.
  • A good understanding of industry standards, trends, and legislation is crucial for success.
