Key Casualty Underwriting Position Available

A prominent insurer seeks a seasoned Casualty Underwriter to drive profitable growth in our dynamic and collaborative underwriting team.

As a key member of the team, you will leverage your expertise in liability underwriting, business development, and strategic underwriting processes to drive success. A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field of business or finance is required, along with advanced certifications or courses related to underwriting being highly beneficial.

Responsibilities include:

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments of potential clients and policies to ensure that the company takes on profitable business.
  • Portfolio Analysis: Regularly analyse your existing portfolio to identify areas for growth and improvement.
  • Business Development: Engage with brokers, clients, and industry professionals to source new business opportunities.
  • Underwriting Strategy: Develop a strategic underwriting approach that balances risk management with profitability.
  • Relationship Management: Build relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to foster loyalty and trust.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the insurance industry.

The successful candidate will report to the Underwriting Manager and be part of a supportive work environment where contributions are valued and appreciated.
