
Nutrition and Dining Support Professional

The Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal frontline role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences in everyday practice.
This newly created role offers heaps of opportunity for growth and development. You will build meaningful relationships with residents and their families in a beautiful tropical setting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, delivery, presentation, and serving of resident meals
- Provide care and support aligned with residents' daily routines, focusing on meal choices, individual nutrition, and enhancing the overall dining experience
- Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
- Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
- Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
- Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- A compassionate and caring attitude
- Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience is highly regarded
- Willingness to take direction from others
- Reliability and shift flexibility
- Good time management skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Valid working rights in Australia
