
Caring Support Specialist

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to residents in a dynamic and person-centred environment.
This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for our residents, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect at all times.
The successful applicant will have excellent customer service skills, a compassionate and caring attitude, and previous experience in restaurant and/or commercial kitchen settings.
- We are seeking an individual who is reliable, flexible, and able to work well under pressure
- A strong focus on resident choice and control, dignity and respect, and consideration of allergies and food intolerances is essential
- Maintaining accurate nutrition and diet information, and assisting with quality food preparation in accordance with our Food Safety Plan, is also crucial
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, delivery, presentation, and serving of meals to residents
- Provide care and support aligned with residents' preferred daily routines, with a strong focus on meal choices, individual nutrition, and consideration of allergies and food intolerances
- Enhance the overall dining experience by engaging with residents, promoting resident choice and control, and upholding dignity and respect
- Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required, and assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan
Requirements:
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- A compassionate and caring attitude
- Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
- Willingness to take direction from others
- Reliability and shift flexibility
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Complete a police check
- Seasonal Flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
