
Construction Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to lead a work team in the construction and maintenance of water and sewer mains and pump stations.
About the RoleThis role involves:
- Construction of wastewater and water reticulation systems and pump stations.
- Removal of redundant water/wastewater assets including asbestos pipes.
- Direction of contractors on site.
- Supervision of deep excavation works.
- Repair main breaks and maintenance rectification of reticulation systems.
- Installation of Pressure Sewer Units, water/fire services, formwork and general concreting.
- Lcome and clear sewer chokes.
You will have solid experience with deep excavation, including benching and shoring, and know how to read and work from engineering plans.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this position, you will have:
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or relevant trade qualifications.
- Demonstrated competence in construction work, including the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Current MR Truck Licence or must obtain within 6 months.
- Demonstrated competency to operate a Backhoe or Excavator.
- Current NSW First Aid certificate.
- Current National WHS Construction card (SafeWork).
- Current NSW SafeWork Confined Spaces Entry certificate.
- Current NSW SafeWork Traffic Controller Certificate.
- Forklift certification.
- Statement of Attainment for Removal of Non-Friable Asbestos.
- Crane Operation and Dogging Certificate of Competency.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa).
