Job Description

The role of a marine maintenance specialist involves providing comprehensive boat maintenance and repair services to private and commercial clients. This includes performing routine repairs, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

As a skilled shipwright, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with contractors to deliver exceptional results.

This position requires a high degree of physical fitness, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair timber, fibreglass, and gel coat damage on various vessels.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent costly repairs.
  • Manage client expectations by providing clear communication and timely updates.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience as a boat builder or shipwright.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Australian driver's license and current Skippers ticket an advantage.
Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour.
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday schedule.
