The Role

As a Client Support Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for clients regarding tenancy management and will coordinate support services and community participation programs to ensure long-term and sustainable tenancies are established in the community.

You will work closely with colleagues, stakeholders, and external support providers to provide assistance to clients dealing with homelessness and complex needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Actioning client rent arrear reports
  • Following guidelines outlined in the Tenancy Act
  • Achieving KPIs as agreed with your manager

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in the community sector, such as case management or casework (child protection/disability)
  • Experience in Community Housing, coupled with an understanding of issues affecting socially disadvantaged groups and those with complex and challenging housing needs
  • Experience managing a portfolio of tenancies or a caseload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and software operating systems
  • A current Australian driver's licence
