Electrical Project Engineer Job

The opportunity

We seek an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity with travel to sites across the Gold Coast region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will play a vital role by providing technical expertise, guidance and advice to the operations team ensuring ongoing improvement of work processes and service delivery.
  • Develop project documentation including technical reports, scope of works, construction methodologies and project performance/progress.
  • Review project documents for compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • Implement quality assurance into project delivery.
  • Assist with tender documentation, process and procurement activities.
  • Ensure design is completed within expected timeframes and checked against capital budgets during development.
  • Assist with the development of a project budget and ensure financial targets are met without compromise to the business environment, community and client satisfaction KPIs.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering ideally or related discipline.
  • Solid knowledge of Australian electrical Standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prior experience within a Project Engineer capacity, preferably within the water and/or wastewater industry. Wider Utilities or oil and gas experience is also highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and sub-contractor management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial management and reporting including budgeting.
  • Strong time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
