Preferred candidates will be motivated to learn project leadership, electrical system design and have excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Role accountabilities

• Collaborate with various disciplines to develop project design solutions.
• Negotiating infrastructure solutions with significant state and local authorities.
• Project management, electrical, NBN and lighting system design.
• Demonstrate excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record with Urban Redevelopment within Queensland. Especially residential sub-divisions.
• Experience working with Energy Queensland for the preparation of engineering drawings, reports, calculations and schedules.
• Experience with local council procedures and applications.
• Experience with road lighting and associated software to AS/NZS 1158 standards.
• Knowledge of on site data collection / survey procedures.
• Proficiency in computer aided design software.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering software.
• Experience with project management.

• Low voltage (AS3000) consumers mains design
• Inter-disciplinary package coordination
• Project management, including financial management and contractual negotiations
• Construction estimating and coordination of tenders
• Site experience and data collection
• Construction crew support

Highly regarded skills / qualifications

• Experience with relevant electrical and/or project software.
• Experience with computer programming
• Familiarity with Energy Queensland and TMR design standards and procedures; accreditation with EQL is highly regarded.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Self-starter attitude and business acumen
• Project management
