
Project Officer: Child Safety Specialist

We are seeking an ambitious Project Officer to join our team. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of organizational frameworks and resources that support employees, volunteers, and carers in recognizing and responding to children and young people who have been, or are at risk of being, sexually abused or exploited.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in human services, excellent project management skills, and the ability to translate vision into action. You will be responsible for assisting with submissions related to government consultations, research, and funding tenders, as well as supporting the delivery and development of a comprehensive CSE training package in conjunction with our Training Team.
Key responsibilities include contributing to the enhancement of the Child Protection sector's awareness and capability to respond to CSE, through strong advocacy and involvement in communities of practice across the sector. You will also support the Principal Advisor - CSE to provide specialist advice in relation to CSE through case reviews, policies, and procedures, presentations, and program material.
Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting and contributing to the development and delivery of projects and campaign materials to raise national awareness of CSE. Regular reporting about project activities, utilizing a detailed work plan, recording outputs, and impact measures is also a key aspect of this role.
To be successful in this position, you will require a Bachelor's degree or higher in a human services related discipline, a minimum of 2 years' experience developing and implementing child protection related projects, practice, and policy frameworks, and experience contributing to the writing of government submissions, tenders, and grants.
You will also need to possess the ability to deliver presentations and training to a variety of audiences in professional and public settings, as well as travel interstate occasionally as the role requires.
A QLD Drivers License with a clear traffic history, a QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card), a Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2), and a National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through our systems) are mandatory requirements for this role.
