Position Overview:
We are in search of a highly proficient Security Architect to play a crucial role in defining and advancing our security strategy. This position will involve close collaboration with senior management to ensure the execution of comprehensive security policies, standards, and controls throughout the organization.
This role combines technical proficiency, strategic insight, and practical implementation, requiring a candidate capable of navigating all three dimensions effectively.
The ideal candidate will have experience in proactive roles within organizations, demonstrating the ability to both strategize and deliver results. Your contributions will significantly influence the security landscape of the business, with plans for future team expansions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, prioritize, design, and implement security policies, standards, and controls to achieve optimal infrastructure security outcomes across the organization.
- Develop and execute strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance the overall security posture of the company.
- Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to provide expertise and ensure robust security practices across cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), in alignment with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other pertinent security frameworks.
- Oversee and maintain internal and external infrastructure, tools, and services to guarantee secure, scalable, and reliable operations.
- Coordinate the investigation, management, and response to all security incidents.
- Evaluate and assess technology vendors and their solutions, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Create and update technical documentation, including diagrams, guidelines, and best practices.
- Engage in both business contexts and technical challenges, demonstrating a quick learning ability and adaptability to new techniques and tools.
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on technical work, driving both high-level security initiatives and detailed implementations.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in a security architect role with a strong technical foundation.
- Expertise in designing secure architectures and frameworks.
- Proficient in privacy management and controls for sensitive data.
- Comprehensive understanding of application layer and API security to ensure protection across all levels.
- Hands-on experience securing cloud environments, particularly AWS, Azure, and Oracle Cloud; cloud design experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and SOC 2.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
- Ability to independently manage complex tasks, with a fast-learning and adaptable mindset.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
