Responsibility Governance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Responsibility Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key contributor, you will help implement and maintain critical frameworks that allow for ambitious innovation while upholding the highest ethical standards and robust privacy protections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Frameworks: Hands-on in implementing and maintaining AI and Data Governance frameworks
  • Safeguard Data Integrity: Support the management of data assets, ensuring their quality and integrity are fit for purpose
  • Ensure Privacy Compliance: Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for new projects, ensuring we meet our obligations under the Privacy Act and the APPs
  • Risk Management: Help identify and mitigate risks associated with data privacy and the responsible use of AI
  • Collaboration and Education: Partner with teams across the organization to embed a 'Privacy-by-Design' culture and contribute to training programs

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data privacy, data governance, or technology risk
  • Strong understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
  • Hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
  • Understanding of data management principles, including data quality and lifecycle management
  • Grasp of AI concepts and their associated privacy challenges
