As part of this transformation, we're hiring a Director of Data Privacy to lead the development of enterprise-wide privacy frameworks, governance controls, and advisory capabilities.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role.
You'll work across legal, cyber security, compliance, and data teams to embed privacy practices that are both compliant and practical, helping the organisation manage risk while enabling data-driven innovation.
What You'll Do Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide privacy frameworks, policies, and standards Develop data classification and handling models that protect regulated and high-risk information Oversee privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data sharing governance processes Collaborate with legal, technology, compliance, and data governance teams on risk mitigation and control design Provide enterprise-wide guidance on privacy obligations and operational implementation Build a small, senior team responsible for privacy operations, capability uplift, and assurance What We're Looking For Proven experience in data privacy, data protection , or compliance leadership roles Deep understanding of privacy legislation , including the Privacy Act , APPs , PPIP Act , and/or GDPR Experience designing and operationalising privacy frameworks across complex organisations Skilled at engaging senior stakeholders and embedding privacy within multi-disciplinary teams Exposure to privacy tooling (e.g.
One Trust , Big ID ) and impact assessment processes is a plus Why This Role?
