
Compensation Claims Specialist

A rare opportunity has emerged to join a leading digital insurer as an experienced Claims Advisor, working closely with injured workers, employers, and regulators to deliver timely and cost-effective return-to-work outcomes.
In this critical role, you will manage complex workers' compensation claims from inception to settlement, setting and reviewing reserves, developing case strategies, and ensuring all claims activities meet governance and legislative requirements.
You will also lead engagement with legal partners, represent the organization at resolution meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement and strategic priorities across the team.
This position is initially based in our West Perth office but will relocate to the Perth CBD in November 2025. Enjoy hybrid working with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility.
Requirements:- Proven experience in Workers' Compensation claims with strong technical claims handling and injury management skills.
- Sound knowledge of Western Australia Workers' Compensation legislation and experience working within statutory schemes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting vulnerable customers, delivering empathy-driven, high-quality customer service.
- Strong decision-making and case planning skills, including setting and reviewing reserves and developing case strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners (brokers, insurers, legal vendors, regulators).
- High attention to detail and commitment to compliance, quality assurance, and governance.
- Resilience and ability to manage competing priorities and complex caseloads.
- 5 weeks of annual leave for permanent staff through our Z leave initiative.
