Senior Employment Lawyer Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a senior employment lawyer to join our team as a key advisor on all aspects of employment law and industrial relations. This is a rare opportunity for a talented lawyer to work with a leading organization, providing strategic advice and support to stakeholders.

The role involves providing expert guidance on complex employment law and IR issues, including unfair dismissal, HR and workplace relations legal advice, strategy and negotiations. You will also oversee the development, negotiation, and implementation of enterprise agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

You will have autonomy to work independently, but also be part of a strong and friendly team. Your honed interpersonal skills and pragmatic approach will ensure your success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have between 8-15 years of PAE experience gained at a reputable law firm or in-house, with a strong understanding of employment law and industrial relations principles. You will be commercially minded, with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic advice on employment law and IR issues
  • Oversee the development and implementation of enterprise agreements
  • Guide the interpretation and application of relevant legislation
  • Supervise the provision of advice on employment law and human resource management principles
  • Coordinate the delivery of support and resources related to Commonwealth and Victorian employment legislation
Requirements
  • Between 8-15 years of PAE experience
  • Strong understanding of employment law and industrial relations principles
  • Commercially minded with strong technical skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
