Special Counsel for Employment Law Matters
About This OpportunityOur organization is expanding its employment law team and invites applications for a Special Counsel position. We provide comprehensive employment law services, encompassing workforce management, industrial relations, workplace safety, and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Engage closely with clients, taking the lead on matters requiring employment law expertise.
- Prepare written advice on employment law and industrial relations issues, as well as strategies for resolving disputes.
- Conduct research on case law and provide in-depth legal analysis to inform client counsel.
- Coordinate with barristers and investigators, presenting cases before relevant courts or tribunals.
- Draft court documents and settlement agreements, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and instruct barristers during mediations, conferences, and court hearings.
- Develop and implement effective work delegation strategies, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Support the professional growth of junior lawyers, including graduates and seasonal clerks, through mentorship and coaching.
This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A keen understanding of employment law principles and practices is essential.
