We're seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our Sydney-based team at businessDEPOT. This is a full-time role with a mix of office and WFH arrangements, reporting to the Director of Bookkeeping.

Job Overview

This position involves managing multiple client portfolios with precision and expertise. Key responsibilities include performing end-of-month accounting tasks, reviewing P+L and Balance Sheet, and quarterly BAS workpapers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage diverse client portfolios with attention to detail and financial expertise
  • Perform month-end accounting tasks and review financial statements
  • Review and manage quarterly BAS workpapers
  • Assist in process improvements and digital system integrations across various industries
  • Drive efficiency and capacity planning, ensuring best practices across the team
  • Maintain and update workflow management systems via Xbert
  • Onboard new clients and contribute to bespoke financial reporting for advisory services
  • Resolve team and client enquiries, providing support and solutions
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior bookkeeping or management role
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios
  • Deep understanding of GST rules, small business tax deductions, and payroll regulations
  • Strong grasp of financial regulations, tax, and payroll systems
  • Experience in month-end accounting tasks and financial statement analysis
  • Ability to deliver bespoke financial reports and advisory services
  • Hawk-eyed attention to detail and proactive problem-solving approach
Estimated Salary

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
