Project Manager Role

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department of Home Affairs. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing project activities, inputs, and outputs in accordance with Department standards.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
  • Implementing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities, incorporating them into planning and decision-making.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and team members.
  • Analysing project performance and developing strategies to achieve outcomes.
  • Developing and preparing project documents, reports, and submissions.

Key Skills and Qualifications Include:

  • Applying project management methodologies and practices.
  • Proficiency using project management tools.
  • Able to apply PRMG 4: Defines, documents and executes small projects or sub-projects.
  • REQM 4: Selects requirement approaches for projects, manages scoping and definition for medium-sized initiatives.
  • RLMT 4: Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and relevant information.
  • BENM 4: Analyses potential benefits, develops a benefits management plan, tracks progress, and ensures alignment with the overall business strategy.
  • AlPM CPPM and/or CPSPM Certification.
  • Diploma of Project Management or Advanced Diploma of Project Management.
  • 3+ years project-related experience in a Project Manager role.
