Seeking an accomplished Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic medical team in Tasmania, Australia.The role involves providing expert emergency medical care to patients with acute conditions, requiring sound judgment and clinical skills. As a substantive position, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and quality improvement initiatives within the department.Key responsibilities:
  • Assessing and managing critically ill patients, including those with trauma, cardiac arrest, or severe medical conditions
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists from ICU, cardiology, and other relevant departments
  • Developing and implementing education programs for junior staff and students
  • Participating in on-call shifts, including nights and weekends
Requirements:
  • Registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • High-level clinical expertise, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
