Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aboriginal Education Specialist to join our team at the Department of Education Northern Territory. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational outcomes of Indigenous students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain support mechanisms to assist Indigenous students with special needs to achieve educational outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with students, families, principal, and other school staff to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide cultural support and guidance to students, teachers, and other staff members to promote cross-cultural understanding and respect.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs and initiatives that address the needs of Indigenous students.
Requirements:
- Administrative Officer 4 (AO4) experience with a strong understanding of Indigenous education and cultural protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
Remuneration: The successful candidate will receive a remuneration package of $81,372 - $92,772, including a salary range of $69,084 - $78,762.
