Payroll Officer Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining timely and accurate payroll and employee data through hands-on manual processing.

You will play a key role in ensuring business-critical payroll services continue to operate effectively.

  • Support day-to-day Payroll operations, ensuring consistency and optimum service levels are maintained.
  • Assist with payroll system administration and core HRIS functionality.
  • Support delivery of payroll-related payments, including superannuation and taxes.
  • Interpret relevant employment, taxation, and payroll legislation.
  • Generate reports from HR and Payroll systems for data integrity checks and investigations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Essential end-to-end payroll processing experience in a medium-sized organisation - manual processing required.
  • High-level understanding of current Australian Employment legislation, payroll legislation, and best practices.
  • Strong technical knowledge in data entry with high accuracy, tax regulations, and payroll software.
