Housekeeping Team Leader Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee our housekeeping operations. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning activities meet our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and supervise work activities to ensure adherence to brand standards in all properties.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures within the department and in accordance with client requirements.
  • Ensure towels and linen are refilled, replaced, and stored correctly.
  • Report maintenance, incident, and safety issues promptly.
  • Conduct daily room inspections to guarantee duties have been completed according to service standards and arrival times.
  • Facilitate communication among the housekeeping team and management.
  • Assist in the day-to-day supervision of the housekeeping team.
  • Drive productivity, motivation, and development of all Housekeeping Team Members.
  • Train the Housekeeping Team.
  • Maintain appropriate chemical safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards and practices.
  • Monitor cleanliness standards through regular inspections.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory position in a housekeeping department of a 4 or 5-star hotel or holiday rental property.
  • Full availability, including weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.
  • Current Manual Driver's License.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience supervising a small to medium team.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development and collaboration.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • High level of attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and composure under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and handling procedures.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items and equipment.
