About the Role

We're seeking a motivated and team-focused HD Mechanical Fitter to join our high-performing team in South Australia. This role will operate on a FIFO basis from Adelaide to Olympic Dam, Prominent Hill, or Whyalla.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and maintenance to all fixed plant and mobile plant on site.
  • Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations, and breakdown maintenance.
  • Assist Territory and Site Managers in managing a maintenance plan for equipment at their sites.
  • Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes, taking corrective action as required.
  • Provide field support for clients by performing training, reviews, and maintenance support on site.
  • Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practices.
  • Comply with management and maintenance plans for all assets.
Requirements
  • Trade certification in Heavy Road Transport or equivalent.
  • Auto electrical knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to attain a Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle license.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Strong fault-finding and mechanical aptitude essential.
  • Underground mining experience in charge-up is a bonus.
  • Previous experience working on heavy vehicles is advantageous.
