We're looking for an experienced and skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our plant machinery and equipment.

Job Description

Maintenance Specialist

This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical skills and attention to detail. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
  • Conducting fault diagnoses and repairs using hand tools and mechanical expertise
  • Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with other teams to resolve breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A mechanical fitting trade qualification
  • Strong knowledge of welding fabrication standards
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, machining, and robotics (desirable)
  • Proficient use of Excel and Outlook to manage maintenance tasks and communicate with contractors
  • Demonstrated sound mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as strong time management, administration, and organisational skills
