Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work to prevent accidents and ensure a healthy workplace environment.
  • Conduct routine plant monitoring and respond to alarms from the Building Management System (BMS) to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment and utilities, including mechanical, electrical, and automation-related works.
  • Collaborate with service providers and contractors to manage maintenance access to production equipment.
  • Carry out equipment reliability studies using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) exercises to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate engineering technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering is required; restricted electrical license is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the pharmaceutical, hospital, or food processing industry.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team member and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in multitasking, prioritizing, and showing initiative to complete tasks efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits packages and opportunities for professional growth and development.
