Job Title: Strategic HR Advisor

The Senior People Advisor role involves providing expert guidance and support to our business unit on all human resources, employee relations, and learning development matters. This fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take on new challenges and develop their skills.

  • Partner with local leaders to design and implement retention strategies, succession planning, reward/recognition programs, talent development initiatives, and other HR projects as needed.
  • Provide advice and support to management, leaders, and employees on HR matters such as conflict resolution, performance management, remuneration, learning and development opportunities, policy interpretation, and exits/terminations.
  • Work closely with the Group People Manager and Construction Manager to develop and implement strategic industrial relations strategies.
  • Conduct workforce planning and resourcing planning in conjunction with senior business leaders.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development Manager to enhance the local learning function, including education, training requirements, leadership development, and mentoring.
  • Offer guidance and support to management and employees on legal and regulatory matters affecting HR functions.
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, systems, and practices that align with and support business objectives.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR advisor looking to advance their career. The incumbent will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Operational Human Resources experience at an Advisor or Officer level within a medium-large organization.
  • Knowledge of construction or similar industries is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills across all levels of the business.
  • Ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
