About This Opportunity

The Estuaries and Catchments team delivers scientific evidence to manage NSW's estuarine and freshwater waterways. As Senior Team Leader, you'll lead project development, implementation, and delivery. You'll coordinate resources, develop budgets, and provide high-quality data and advice.

This role requires experience in leading science programs, stakeholder recognition, and the ability to establish relationships with peers. You'll work collaboratively with a geographically dispersed project team to deliver customer-focused results.

About the Role

The Senior Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Project Development: Develop and implement project plans, identify and coordinate resources, and develop budgets.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and oversee stakeholder engagement activities, foster co-design on project outcomes, and deliver reports to a high standard.
  • Expert Advice: Provide expert advice and support to the Science Division on scientific projects, ensuring technical and scientific considerations are properly considered.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Extensive experience in developing and leading science programs.
  • Stakeholder recognition of expertise in estuarine and catchment science programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a flexible, multi-disciplinary team and establish relationships with peers.
