Job DescriptionThis role involves:
- Leading and developing a team of Power Systems Engineers to deliver outstanding project outcomes for clients;
- Undertaking power systems studies, including grid-connection, network planning, system strength impact assessment and research and development;
- Developing wide-area network and individual equipment models in simulation tools like PSSE and PSCAD/EMTDC;
- Performing harmonic assessment and filter design studies;
- Conducting control system tuning of inverter-based resources, including grid-forming and grid-following inverters;
- Undertaking generator performance standards compliance testing, model validation, and registration with AEMO.

What We're Looking ForTo excel in this role, you should possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with postgraduate studies highly regarded;
- A strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and power systems theory relating to transmission, distribution, and generation, along with associated control and protection principles;
- Experience in power system modeling tools, particularly PSCAD and PSS/E; and
- Site experience in a relevant area, as well as expertise in power system model development, coding, scripting, and automation.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000-$180,000 AUD, depending on location and experience.
