Job Description:

As a dedicated professional in Indigenous Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing inclusion, quality, and delivery of Nursing education and research at our institution. This position aims to attract passionate and talented Indigenous nurses to academic spaces, recognizing the richness their cultural knowledge and community connections bring to teaching and research.

You will collaborate with and be supported by esteemed colleagues, contributing to embedding Indigenous knowledges, person-centered practice, and technology/innovation throughout the nursing and healthcare curriculum. Your contributions will directly impact the development and review of our Bachelor of Nursing program, utilizing blended models of unit delivery and fostering an inclusive and engaging academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete a teaching/education qualification to enhance your expertise
  • Demonstrate clinical experience in Nursing, applying your skills and knowledge in real-world settings
  • Develop high organizational and administrative skills to contribute to leadership of course and program delivery
  • Maintain high interpersonal and communication skills, effectively collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Contribute to research teams and partnerships, achieving high-impact research outcomes through practice research supervision

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Hold relevant qualifications in Nursing and eligibility for registration
  • Possess a PhD/Doctorate qualification or equivalent experience, or demonstrate a willingness to engage in Higher Degree Research (HDR) studies
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates who possess strong clinical experience in Nursing, excellent organizational and administrative skills, and high interpersonal and communication skills. A teaching/education qualification is highly desirable, as is a PhD/Doctorate qualification or equivalent experience. Candidates should also be eligible for registration and hold relevant qualifications in Nursing.
