Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill a Shotfirer position in our team. As a Shotfirer, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient blasting practices, as well as performing dipping, backfilling, loading, and firing of blast holes while monitoring compliance with site procedures, environmental and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blasting operations in accordance with safety protocols
  • Monitor the mining environment and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Conduct explosives magazine stock-takes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous shot firing experience in an open cut coal mine and a strong understanding of NSW Coal Mining & OH&S Statutory obligations.
