Job Title: Critical Infrastructure Operations Specialist

The role of the Critical Infrastructure Operations Specialist is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of AWS data centers. This includes troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, managing routine and corrective maintenance, and ensuring high standards of safety and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage routine and corrective maintenance on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, and building automation systems.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, commission, and build out new facilities.
  • Develop and implement projects to increase facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
  • Manage facility assets and provide infrastructure and inventory asset management.
  • Coordinate with business leaders to optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Degree or technical certification in a relevant field.
  • Relevant mechanical or electrical engineering background or experience at a technician level in a critical environment.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience on mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Experience operating electrical or mechanical systems in a mission-critical environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to participate in a 24x7 rotating shift roster.
  • 2+ years of operations experience in a data center or critical environment.
  • Experience with development of MOPs and SWMS for planned works.
  • Familiarity with service management concepts.
  • Business-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
