About This Role

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our organisation's finance function, driving commercial impact and supporting the business in achieving its goals.

  • Lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting that informs strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with business objectives, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, providing actionable insights to drive business growth.
  • Prioritise tendering and pricing decisions, ensuring the commerciality of contracts that maximise returns on investment.
  • Ensure seamless compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, partnering with external stakeholders to mitigate risks.
  • Expertly manage cash flow and oversee capital expenditure planning, optimising resource allocation and minimising costs.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance, driving process improvements and best practices throughout the organisation.
The Ideal Candidate
  • A chartered accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification, backed by significant experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
  • A proven track record of managing and motivating high-performing finance teams, ideally with a previous reporting line to business/operations leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of the industrial sector, with a preference for industrial services and contracts, and the ability to leverage this expertise to drive business success.
  • An exceptional analytical mind, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, to navigate complex financial environments and build strong relationships with key partners.
  • A high degree of proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools, with experience in ERP implementations an advantage.
