About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head Chef to lead our culinary operations. This exciting opportunity is for a self-motivated experienced Chef who has a genuine passion for steering a team to ensure healthy meals are delivered to patients within the hospital.
Main Responsibilities:- Ensure the safe provision of food as per documented food safety plan, upholding the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Provide support and guidance to the food service staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement effective rostering, stock ordering, and function coordinating systems to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Lead by example in a professional, considerate, and pleasant demeanor to all stakeholders, including patients, colleagues, and visitors.
- Role model to peers and maintain positive staff morale through effective teamwork and communication.
- Commercial Cooking certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum certificate-level qualifications in management with experience in a senior role.
- Diversified commercial volume cooking and fine dining experience, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Proven ability to work proactively, flexibly, laterally, creatively, and dynamically in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior communication skills, enabling effective communication with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
